I just returned to the Midwest after visiting friends in Portland, OR. I love it there. One of my great passions in life is coffee. In Portland you can really find a great cup. A new favorite is Sterling Coffee on NW 21st. A friend and I stopped in there for our second (!) cappuccino of the day. It was this charmingly small shop with beautiful baristas looking chic in their vintage clothing. The cappuccino was perfect. Yes, I said perfect. The espresso roasted and pulled exactly right mixed with the creamy, delicately-foamed milk was...perfect. The only downside is I couldn't drink the whole thing due to my already high caffeine levels from the previous drink. (sigh)
