I'd have to say that in general, songs find me, rather than the other way around. Maybe that's the way it always is with songs? Who knows for sure how or why we respond to certain songs at specific times. In looking back over this last year I can think of the songs that found their way into my life, that I listened to ad nauseam, then finally let go of when something new came along. I'm finding it interesting to look back at my list. I think I've remembered most of them;

"Some Things Never Change" and "When I’m Older" from Frozen 2
"At Least I'm not as sad as I used to be" by FUN
"I Know it's Today" from Shrek the Musical
"The Speed Test" from Thoroughly Modern Millie
"Someone in the Crowd" and "Another Day of Sun" from La La Land
"No Reason" and "What I Know Now" from Beetlejuice the Musical
"Desperado" by the Eagles
"Love you Anymore" by Michael Buble
"Is it Love" by John Denver
"Bring on the Men" from Jekyll and Hyde
"Such a Night" both the Michael Buble and Elvis versions
